The Journey of a lifetime is just unfolding! We were called on November 4, 2022 to serve as missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - as Associate Area Legal Counsel in the Africa West Area. We will be living in Accra, Ghana and servicing 17 countries including: Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, Cote d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo & Western Sahara. We will serve for 18 months.
We've had so many immunizations we are glowing green! Our bags are mostly packed except for a few last items and clothes! Jordan may have to make a Walmart run for some final chocolate to fill in any little gaps. We hear good chocolate treats are hard to come by in Africa!
We entered the Missionary Training Center in Provo on January 23, 2023 and spent one week learning from fantastic instructors and had awesome experiences! The MTC runs like a fine tuned machine! Next week we will spend 2 days at the Church Office Building for Legal Training. Then Thursday, Feb 2nd, we fly to Ghana! Totally crazy, but it is finally here!
